Open your Heart : Philosophy and Yoga  – Satya (Truthfulness)

To open the heart (anahatha chakra) we must first learn to live in truth (satya) by bringing the heart, mind and soul into alignment with one another. Once achieved, we can then master the art of living, speaking and expressing our truth with authenticity.
Living in the spirit of Satya and seeking with earnest, will bring abundance and joy to your life and allow you to honour yourself and others around you.
Join us for this workshop in which we playfully explore our own truth and how to express it; to open the heart to love and magic.

Growing Compassion: An introduction to Jivamukti

with Sharon Price

Sunday April 26th 1115 – 1245

You’ve probably heard of Jivamukti – it’s the Method of Yoga developed by Sharon Gannon and David Life and popularised in the 1980s in North America. It is often known as the yoga of choice for celebrities and has some rather well-known practitioners such as Madonna, Gweneth Paltrow and Sting (but don’t let that put you off!)

Jivamuki is a combination of physical, spiritual and ethical practices and is often noted for being strongly connected to social activism and environmentalism.
According to the founders: ” Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, … states that asana should be sthira (steady) and sukham (joyful) … [asana] becomes more than mere physical exercise to keep one’s body fit or to increase strength or flexibility; it becomes a way to improve one’s relationship to all others and thus lead to enlightenment – the dissolution of the sense of separateness, the realization of the oneness of being, the discovery of lasting happiness.”

Want to understand how ASANA can help you develop connection with others? Join us for 2 and half hours of exploration of this style of Yoga favoured by so many.
