Our Beginners’ Yoga class is the perfect place to start if you’re new to yoga, or if you’d like to refresh your practice.
You’ll learn the foundational postures, breathing techniques and mindfulness practices that our other classes build on. It all happens in a friendly, supportive room, at a pace that suits a first-timer.
Why start yoga?
Yoga has been practised for thousands of years, and it offers something for everyone.
- Flexibility and strength. Postures improve your range of motion and build muscle, which can help prevent injury and ease aches.
- A calmer mind. Focusing on breath and movement improves concentration and lowers stress. Many people find it lifts their mood.
- Better sleep and digestion. Yoga helps the body switch into rest mode, which can help you sleep. Some postures also aid digestion.
- Community. Practising in a group gives a real sense of belonging.
