Our hot yoga classes are gently heated with infrared heaters, to between 28 and 32°C. This creates a deeply nourishing, therapeutic space for your practice.

Infrared heat works differently to traditional heating. It warms the body from the inside out, which helps muscles soften more quickly and joints move with greater ease.

The benefits of Hot yoga

  • Flexibility and mobility. Warm muscles lengthen more easily, so you can explore a greater range of motion.
  • Ease for aches and stiffness. Many students find the warmth especially helpful for easing tension held in the body.
  • Strength without force. You build strength and balance without feeling forced or rushed.
  • A settled mind. The warmth has a calming effect on the nervous system, helping you focus and fully arrive on your mat.

Classes are taught with care and inclusivity, with options offered throughout and encouragement to rest whenever you need it. Expect to leave feeling grounded, refreshed and connected to your breath.

Hot yoga is a studio-only class. See the timetable for times.

Questions

How hot is the room?
Between 28 and 32°C. The warmth comes from infrared heaters, which warm the body from the inside out.
What should I bring to Hot yoga?
Come hydrated, bring water and a towel to place over your mat, as the mat gets slippery. A non-slip yoga towel is best. You can hire a mat for £2 or bring your own, and props are provided.
Can I do Hot yoga if I'm fairly new?
Yes. Classes offer options and encourage you to rest whenever you need to. They suit experienced yogis and motivated newcomers alike.
